Alright, so after one more good reason for learning guitar I’m officially startin’ up The Guitar Class! This isn’t where I gather ’round a young bunch of sprites eager to learn from the master, no, no! This rather will be a place where we all learn together and get together to jam once a week to keep it real. I’d like to place emphasis on songs that are more mellow, but am not opposed to jamming to something with rhythm.
Because everyone learns differently, I’ll provide several ways to pick up each song: tablature, audio & video. You may use all or just one of them based on how you learn best. It may help to utilize all three.
I would suggest drowning yourself, closed-eyes in the audio to absorb the rhythms, sounds and melodies. Even hum along as you pick up the tune. Next, bust out the video. This will add an image of someone playing the song. Lastly, try to play the song and use the tabs to help you pick parts you need help on.
